This particular tombstone was for the Reverand Macartney, the "Dean of Melbourne," who died
around 1885, and his wife and daughter. Notice on this tombstone and many others the
constant references to sleeping in death, waiting on the return of our Lord, and hoping in the
Resurrection of the Dead.
